Steven Soderbergh emma stone isn't directing Magic Mike XXL (aka Magic Mike 2 ), but he is serving as cinematographer and on this Labor Day weekend he's just tweeted the first picture from the set. It's only a clapperboard, but it is an interesting career move for Soderbergh who has served as cinematographer (as well as editor) on most of his films under the pseudonym Peter Andrews , but this is the first time he's done it for a film he isn't directing. emma stone
At the helm for the sequel is Soderbergh's longtime second unit director, Gregory Jacobs ( Wind Chill ) with a story described as an "on-the-road adventure", expected to find Mike ( Channing Tatum ) and his stipper co-horts driving a U-Haul to a stripper convention. For more on that click here .
