BBC's iPlayer, poptropica launched in 2007, is now available through Microsoft's poptropica Xbox 360, will now include the popular TV on demand service available to anyone in the UK with an Xbox. The BBC is already three years trying to get around the agreement poptropica because Microsoft initially wanted to receive money for all content.
According to Dave Price, head of the BBC iPlayer, this is the next step in the transition poptropica of the platform from PC to TV. "In 2011 we have seen tremendous growth in the BBC's iPlayer on connected TVs - both through Smart TVs, operator platforms or connecting game consoles," he announced in a blog post.
