Are there any other instances in the Bible where naughty children being killed? The incident in 2 K

Home Apologists do not excuse Comment Policy Teaching dh them to observe all things To follow dh Jesus makes sense! What about me once upon a time in "About dh me" stood
But what exactly say the verse being discussed here? Deuteronomy 21: 18-21 If a man has a rebellious dh and disobedient son who will not go to his mother and father would not listen, even punish them, let them him to the leaders of the city ... take a Gobble and a suiplap ... Then all the men of the city came with stones to death throws.
Exodus 21:15 elaborate on the kind of rebellion through to it as a child, having put his own parents. dh So the rebellious children are drunkards, dh who have previously been corrected by their parents, who save their own parents (in their drunkenness?). We are not talking about small children who protest. We talk of young louts who have had to work, but rather drunk, and even after efforts to help do not want to change him correctly.
Fall into the same category as this story, then? No, because for one thing Ellen Packs decide dh to kill her son. When someone is stoned dh in ancient Israel, a judiciary decision to stone him.
And that brings me to another dh point of: The person above a candidate for stoning is, the drunkenness and beatings had to be evidence for a trial. The rebellious child of this verse is not a small one that protest. This is a young adult who proved to be a burden to society. (1) Ellen Packs son is certainly an example of the kind of "child" for the (legally sentenced) death penalty would qualify in a society with those laws . And even if someone today would literally the Old Testament out of context with the New Testament, he would not have to write that sentence if he is not part of the legal judge.
Are there any other instances in the Bible where naughty children being killed? The incident in 2 Kings 2: 23-24 seems to be: Elisa is there on the way to Bethel. While he was on the way to there, a lot of little dh boys came out of the city, and mocked him, "Higher up, thou bald head; Higher up, you baldhead! He turned around, looked at them and cursed them in the name of the Lord. Two bears came out of the woods and mauled 42 of the children. "
There are two Hebrew words used for the "boys" in this verse. None of them is a specific dh word just for little children. One of the two words means always people between dh 12 and 30, every place he used in the Bible. It describes eg. army men in 1 Kings 20: 14-15. The "translation" little boys "is not a good word choice.
"Higher up" is understood in two ways by scholars. Some think it's a reference to Elijah, shortly before it was incorporated into the sky in a firearm. According to them, teasing the young people that they are not someone like Elisha dh on earth looking, they wanted him dead. Others dh find that Jericho, where he was traveling, far below sea level, and Bethel is far above sea level. So, they say he should continue on his way, and far away. The message is in any case clear: "We do not want a prophet of God! We do not want God's representative here! "(2)
And the bald part? Elisha was bald from age, he is still alive 60 years after the incident. Some interpreters point out that Jewish men wore hats in general, and theorize that the gang could not see his head and just wanted dh to be insulting. (Or perhaps all of his hat knocked off?) Other mentions that his head was shaved might as symbolism for mourn Elijah. They hiss according latter with Elisa's sad about the other prophet.
Elisa, surrounded by a gang of 42 or more teens / young men (3), cursed them in the name of God. Now, more than 40 threatening teens that threatens death wish, and can easily spill over into violence. (Were they might not normally a violent gang?) Is it vain to curse someone above them just insulted personally? It would be sure, but that's not what happened here. Elisha cursed in God's name, for the young men would not proclaim God in their area.
Or rather, this is a story of a gang of teenagers, or perhaps young men, who threatened that they are not God's message dh in their area are looking for. Probably Elisa even feared for his safety or life. Elisha asks God to deal with the situation. After that event, without Elisha dh left it so happened, at least some of them injured or killed.
If you want to approach the Bible makes sense, you have to learn to look at what the Bible says. If someone criticizes the Bible, asking him to give textual references. Then read at least the fresh
